Our party of four spent the week with Bill, Mandi and Dakota with the goal of hunting Steelhead on the Skeena. But we were plagued with a week of heavy rains and muddy rivers. The Skeena being one of them and thus we fell victim to Mother Nature. The Skeena was chocolate soup, zero visibility. To Gill’s and Dakota’s credit they put us on fish in the Kitimat River where we were successful in hooking Pinkies, Chum, Coho and one wayward Steelhead. Gill and Mandi made our trip memorable with good food, good Caesars, good stories, good friends and they shared their wonderful family with us. The Skeena and Kitimat offer some of the most beautiful country I have ever seen, and driving from Dallas to Terrace was truly an adventure. We are discussing our return trip as I write this note. Our party still wants to see our 2-handed rods hover over Steelhead of the Skeena on a sunny day in September!! This Bucket List trip has not been Checked-Off yet and only another week in Steelhead Camp will achieve this goal. I highly recommend Westcoast Fishing Adventures for a most memorable big fish experience.

Words really can’t describe the Steelhead trip I just returned home from. The hospitality, scenery and fishing was magic. Mandi was a pleasure to work with handling all the logistics and making the trip run smoothly. Gill is one of the most knowledgeable guides I have ever fished with. I left the Steelhead Camp a much better fisherman because of Gil. If you are looking for a fishing trip that will provide memories for a lifetime look no further than Westcoast Fishing Adventures.

Gill, Mandi and Pierce.. You guys are AWESOME. The Steelhead bootcamp ADVENTURE was epic again this year. Fishing was so good even my splashing and thrashing lines caught my best Steelhead yet. Another amazing steelhead boot camp adventure with Gill and Pierce leading the way. From the initial rush of the grab of a chrome spring run steelie to the singing of the reel as the battle escalates, there is nothing better. Our group of longtime friends all experienced the rush of hooking and landing these magnificent fish. The adventure doesn’t end on the river as our camp activities and hijinks kept the fun rolling. We were tested, pampered and always ready for one more cast. We will be back again thanks not only to Gill and his guides, but Mandi who makes sure we not only have food but we enjoy every last bite(insider tip, her pink flies are second to none).

A short but wonderful stay with excellent guiding, accommodation and food. It was a bit of a ‘family trip’ this time, but all the challenges of fishing with them were handled expertly by the team – and rounded off with my wife’s first salmon – what a place to get it! I came back to Canada from Scotland to Steelhead Bootcamp for the second time in two years after also trying some fall fishing. As ever the professionalism of Gill and Pearce ensured a great trip for myself and Crai Freas, my fishing colleague. Great camp, food, scenery, bonhomie and of course wonderful feisty chrome Steelhead. There really is nothing like a WCFA Trip out into the wilds. Having fished all over the world I spiritually connect with BC. It’s our last true wilderness fishing; the perfect antidote for a stressful life. Looking forward to seeing y’all next spring.

Hi Gil & Mandi
We had a great day fishing with Luke on Saturday. We drifted the Kitimat. We were very impressed with Luke. During our week in Terrace we had guides from 3 companies; all were good but Luke was the best with doubt. He listened to our objectives for the day and worked hard to fulfill them. He was very attentive to our fishing needs. When one of Spey rods broke, Luke was quick to off his rod so we all could keep fishing. Luke exceeding our expectations. He is fine young man.
