Westcoast Fishing Adventures: The Ultimate Angling Experience

When you book a guided trip with Westcoast Fishing Adventures, you’re not just another customer—you’re a guest.

We pride ourselves on providing a personalized, one-of-a-kind experience based on decades of local knowledge and a deep understanding of the migration patterns of Salmon and Steelhead. Whether you’re chasing trophy-sized Steelhead or seeking the thrill of a fresh, wild Salmon on the fly, your journey is tailored to meet your angling aspirations.

Tailored Guided Trips with Expertise

From the very first point of contact, Gill & Mandi will take care of every detail to craft a fishing adventure that’s uniquely suited to your goals.

Whether you’re booking your first guided trip or returning for your annual pilgrimage to the Skeena River, we’re committed to offering an experience that surpasses expectations.

Unlike corporate lodges in Northern BC, Westcoast Fishing Adventures is locally owned and operated, deeply rooted in the community and the land. We honor Indigenous relationships and values while providing a fishing experience that is second to none. We believe in quality over quantity—and that philosophy extends to our approach to bookings.

When you book with us, you’ll never find yourself fishing in a crowd. If you book as a party of two, you’ll fish as a party of two, with no added guests. We understand that the Skeena River fishery is fragile, and taking on more anglers dilutes your chances to land a trophy Steelhead. For us, Steelhead fishing is not a numbers game—it’s about giving you the best possible opportunity to hook your dream fish.

The Westcoast Advantage: Expertise, Quality, and Sustainability

These remote, wild rivers require a deep understanding of the landscape and the changing conditions.

Fishing on the Skeena, Nass, and Kitimat-Stikine River systems is no easy task. We specialize in Spey casting a swung fly to wild Steelhead in some of the most pristine and remote locations in British Columbia.

Our knowledge of the river systems, the seasonal migration patterns of the fish, and the most effective techniques ensure that your experience will be successful and unforgettable.

A Truly Unique Experience

At Westcoast Fishing Adventures, we believe that fishing is about more than just catching fish.

It’s about the experience, the connection with nature, and the thrill of chasing your angling dreams. We invite you to join us on a journey to the heart of wild British Columbia, where the rivers run pure and the Steelhead are as wild as the land itself.

Ready to make your dreams of catching a trophy Steelhead come true? Contact us today to book your next adventure with Westcoast Fishing Adventures, where quality meets passion and every detail is carefully crafted for your perfect fishing experience.

Prime Fishing Seasons

We offer three prime opportunities to cast for wild Pacific Steelhead, each with its own unique appeal. We also offer a variety of other amazing fishing and adventure packages to choose from.

1. Spring Steelhead

(March 15 to May 15)

Fresh from the Pacific Ocean, Spring Steelhead are the first to enter the Skeena, Nass, and Kitimat watersheds. These early season fish are often bright and aggressive, providing the perfect opportunity for anglers to target a trophy Steelhead.

2. Summer Steelhead

(July 15 to September 15)

The Summer Steelhead are a true spectacle of nature, entering the lower Skeena River in bright silver, having just begun their migration upstream to tributaries miles away. These fish are strong and aggressive, offering an exciting challenge for anglers. Learn more about our Grand Slam!

3. Steelhead Bootcamp

(September to October)

For anglers seeking a true adventure, our Steelhead Bootcamp offers a unique opportunity to fish the remote Nass River. Here, you’ll be casting dry flies or light sink tips, challenging your skills and testing your technique in a wild, off-grid environment. This experience is perfect for those looking to hone their skills while chasing one of the most sought-after fish in the world.

4. A Variety of Other Packages
